AJ120 Awards: New Member and Fastest Growing Practice finalists named

From emerging stars to established names – the AJ can reveal the firms vying for the AJ120 New Member of the Year and Fastest Growing Practice awards.

Eight companies are in the frame for New Member of the Year: 5plus Architects, ADAM Architecture, Arup Associates, Cullinan Studio, FaulknerBrowns, Grimshaw, Haworth Tompkins and Pringle Brandon Perkins+Will.

The New Member of the Year title, sponsored by Equitone - Marley Eternit, is awarded to the practice which has entered the AJ120 for the first time in five years and is judged based on its business success and the quality of its work.

Six companies have made the shortlist for Fastest Growing Practice: Archial NORR, Jacobs, Orms, PLP Architecture, Wilkinson Eyre Architects and Zaha Hadid Architects.

The Fastest Growing Practice award, sponsored by Keim Paint, is given to the practice that has increased its fee earnings and its number of qualified architect employees by the highest percentage in 2014.

Last year New Member of the Year was awarded to NBBJ – UK Studio, while Fastest Growing Practice was handed to Stanton Williams.

The AJ will be revealing the shortlists for the AJ120 awards over the next few days.
