Hellman files #164

  • Comment

A trawl through Hellman’s archives, in which we uncover gems that are as relevant now as they were then

This AJ cartoon relates to the General Election of 2005 when Bomber Blair beat Horror Howard and Comatose Kennedy. How does that compare with this year’s election bribes? Labour are still trying to straddle big business and the welfare state, the Tories are still playing a UKIP-lite immigration and anti-planning regulation card and the Lib Dems are now Lib Decimated. Since everyone is convinced the rise of smaller parties will mean a hung parliament, none of this is likely to happen.
