Politicians are increasingly seen as out of touch with the ‘real world’, serving mainly the affluent 1 per cent. The same accusation might be levied at the architectural profession. A survey finds that 80% of employers think schools are failing to equip graduates with the technical and managerial skills required to practice. But are they equally failing to engage with the changing political and social climate by cultivating an outdated prima donna role model?
