  • Comment on: ARB investigating Grenfell inquiry expert witness over claims to be an architect

    Gary Tedder's comment 22 June, 2018 11:56 am

It's clear the whole profession of architecture and all its 'architects' is little more than a sham anyway. In Europe you graduate and you are an 'architect'. In Britain they, as with the case with Studio E, are the pawns of contractors. So, who really cares about this allegedly regal title of 'architect'. It means nothing now, and hasn't meant anything for decades, other than as so sort of justification for exploiting interns and billing out clients tenfold the work executed.

And still nothing from Studio E, the firm with a claim to fame designing schools across Britain.
Let that sink in.... schools. soulless ones on first glance.

  • Comment on: Studio E Architects slammed for ‘corporate silence’ at Grenfell inquiry

I can't even believe this firm has the gall to operate under the same name and boast new commissions.

Before the tower incident, it saw major backlash from local residents with its various poorly-designed and completely VE'd and soul-destroying academy commissions.

The directors of this firm couldn't care less about the clients, users or greater public – it's all about cheapest acceptable solution; moreover it's a horribly bigoted and uncompromising place to work. I'd be so ashamed to still work there as I did a decade ago.
