  • Comment

University of Dublin Trinity College is seeking an architect to re-masterplan its city centre campus

The winning team will draw up a medium term (10-15 year) and a longer term (50 year) masterplan for the 47 hectare College Green campus.

Founded in 1592, Trinity College is located opposite the former Irish Houses of Parliament and is the oldest university in the country.

Historic buildings on the site include the Thomas Burgh-designed 1732 Old Library where the famous Book of Kells is kept.

According to the contract notice: ‘The project objectives are to produce a campus masterplan which will support the goals outlined in the College Strategic Plan.

‘A campus masterplan will provide a valuable and productive road map for future development.’

A space, land use, sustainability and mobility strategy will also be required alongside proposals for buildings.

The deadline for requests to participate is 00:30am on 25 July.
