[Expressions of interest must be received by 15 January 2012] The National Trust is seeking expressions of interest from architects and designers for ‘Playful Incident’ - a new commission for Kedleston Hall in Derbyshire.
The contest seeks ideas for temporary structures and or works of art which could create ways to experience the grounds. Entries which take a ‘playful approach’ are sought.
Submissions should include a 500 word essay outlining the entrant’s interest in the commission and examples of their previous work.
Three teams will be shortlisted and receive £400 to develop their final submission.
The winner will receive £60,000 to realise the project. The completed installation will be open to the public for four months.

The winning proposal will be selected 3 February 2012
