The London Borough of Lambeth is seeking an architect for a new ‘state-of-the-art’ day centre for adults with learning disabilities
The new building will be expected to deliver maximum future flexibility by abandoning ‘old institutional models’ and furthermore ‘integrate the clients as much as possible within the wider community.’
The £500,000 contract also covers the delivery of new residential accommodation for adults with learning disabilities and autism.
According to the contract notice: ‘This is a challenging project and we want to procure the best designers who share our commitment to provide excellent services within a state of the art facility.’
Up to six architect-led multidisciplinary teams will be shortlisted for the 18 month job.
The deadline for requests to participate is 12noon on 22 May.
