International firms sought to set regional design guidelines, Shenzhen China

[Forms must be received by 24 July] The People’s Government of Luohu District, Shenzhen in southern China seek design firms to compete to provide services in relation to the ‘regeneration and redevelopment’ of their Sungang Qingshuihe district.

A two-part international hunt, design firms are called for to provide both ‘Overall Urban Design Guidelines’ and ‘Subunit Planning’ for the Sungang Qingshuihe area.

The site covers 5.4km² of land and is set as the focus of local government’s drive to become an ‘international consumer centre.’

A full set of architectural guidelines are called for from street design, open spaces and the areas future architectural pattern

The shortlist of four will work to refine their schemes in line with local public opinion on site while losing schemes will be compensated.

Documents will be available in both English and Chinese.
