Swansea University is on the lookout for an architect for a ‘Computational Foundry’ on its new £450 million Bay Campus
Up to five teams will be shortlisted for the new computer science building located within Porphyrios Associates’ masterplan for the former BP oil depot site.
Planned to receive its first students this September, the 26 hectare Bay Campus in Neath Port Talbotwill feature academic facilities, student accommodation and research areas.
Last year the university announced it was seeking an architect for a 5,000m² ‘innovation centre’ featuring research labs and auditoriums for postgraduate training.
The winner of the latest project will develop plans up to RIBA Stage 2 and the appointment may also be extended to project completion.
The deadline for requests to participate is 12noon on 21 May.
