  • Comment

Northern Ireland’s Department of Education is seeking an architect as part of a project manager-led team for a £150 million schools campus in Omagh

Five existing post primary schools and one special needs school will be relocated to the Lisanelly Shared Education Campus.

Located on a former army base, the 57 hectare development will feature shared sports, arts, media, home economics, design and technology facilities.

Construction of a £10 million new home for Arvalee Special School has already started on site. Other local schools relocating to the development are Christian Brothers Grammar School, Sacred Heart College, Omagh Academy, Omagh High School and Loreto Grammar School.

The winning team will develop the project from an existing exemplar design up to RIBA stage 3 and will also undertake associated studies and acquire planning permission.

The deadline for requests to participate is 9 January.
