Hunt begins for architect to overhaul Stranraer park

  • Comment

Dumfries and Galloway Council is on the lookout for an architect to regenerate Agnew Park in Stranraer

The coastal park currently features a boating lake, miniature railway, play area, café and 18-hole putting green.

The project will enlarge the seaside green space, upgrade existing leisure facilities and extend the coastal pathway up to nearby Stranraer Harbour.

The winning team will also design an improved events area and tree planting for a car park next to the site.

Consultation with the local community and stakeholder groups will also be required alongside a cost plan for the proposed works.

The deadline for requests to participate is 7 July.
