  • Comment

The London Borough of Hillingdon is on the hunt for design teams to upgrade shop fronts and create new branding on its high streets

The £1.1 million project is divided into two lots covering 55 retail units in Eastcote Town Centre and around 14 shops on Ryefield Avenue.

According to the contract notice: ‘The element being tendered is that of the design, specification and project management from design through to build, including direct management of the contractors completing the work. This will also include recommendations for town centre branding.’

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate experience in delivering ‘good quality, affordable shop front design and branding solutions’.

The four-year initiative is expected to complete in 2019 but may be extended to cover further town centres and up to 50 more shop fronts.

Under the scheme small independent businesses receive free advice and grants of up to £4,800 to upgrade signage, windows and awnings.

The deadline for requests to participate is 12noon on 12 October.
