Harrow Council is on the hunt for an architect to overhaul its main Station Road thoroughfare
The project will transform the ‘under-used and indistinct’ high street of the northwest London suburb into an ’area with a new sense of place and identity’.
According to the contract notice, the overall project aim is to engage ‘businesses, residents and the wider community in developing a better designed, more attractive, safer, vibrant and more frequently used high street.’
The winning architect-led design team will be expected to provide place making and public realm design services. Business and community engagement activities will also be required.
The appointment will commence in June and last until March next year.
The deadline for requests to participate is 12noon on 26 May.
