Hammersmith seeks architect for ‘alternative provision’ hub school

  • Comment

Hammersmith and Fulham Council is on the hunt for an architect to deliver a new hub school for children not in mainstream education

The proposed ‘bi-borough hub’ facility – hosting pupils from both Hammersmith and Fulham and neighbouring Kensington and Chelsea – will be constructed at the Bridge AP Academy on Finlay Street.

The academy next to Fulham Football Club (pictured) is currently an ‘alternative provision’ school which provides full time education for 180 youngsters who are not in mainstream education.

The new hub facility will expand the building so it can accommodate additional students from the nearby Latimer Education Centre.

Applicants must have experience of developing school projects from RIBA Stage 0 to 7.

The winning team will also include a structural eigneer, mechanical engineer, electrical engineer and landscape architect.

The deadline for requests to participate is 12noon on 22 June.
