The University of Glasgow is seeking an architect for a new £4 million Institute of Health & Well-Being and College of Social Sciences
The 18,000m2 centre – located on the corner of University Place and Church Street in Glasgow’s West End – will host ‘world-changing research on health inequalities and social justice’
According to the contract notice: ‘The University of Glasgow is an institution that inspires people to change the world. The new building for the Institute of Health and Wellbeing and the College of Social Science will play a crucial role in delivering this vision.’
The statement continued: ‘It will bring together staff and students from a wider range of disciplines to conduct world-changing research on health inequalities and social justice among other key local and global challenges.
‘It will provide inspirational spaces to foster collaborations in research and training among academics and with external stakeholders.’
Up to five teams will be shortlisted for the high-profile project. The winning team will develop the scheme from RIBA Stage 2-7.
The deadline for requests to participate is 12noon on 1 July.
