[Registration must be completed by 16 October] Chile’s Housing and Urban Development Ministry has launched an international contest to masterplan Santiago’s civic quarter
The competition seeks proposals to ‘complete, update and revitalize’ Bulnes Avenue as part of the country’s bicentennial celebrations.
The first place prize winner is set to take home £30,000 with a further £30,000 to be shared between the honourable mentions and second and third place winners.
Teams with mixed expertise are welcomed but the team leader must be a qualified architect.
The contest is intended to be the ‘first stage of promoting greater use’ of the district and certain components of the wining design may be implemented.
Registration must be completed by 16 October
Submissions are due before 19 November
