The Brazilian Institute of Architects has launched a design contest for a new administrative headquarters for the Sound and Image Museum in Rio de Janeiro
UK architects are invited to partner with Brazilian practices to bid for the Lapa project which will include laboratories and exhibition spaces.
Diller Scofidio and Renfro won a seperate contest to design a new home for the museum elsewhere on Copacabana Beach in 2009.
Design proposals for the latest scheme must be submitted by 24 November and only one project will be chosen as the winner. The second and third placed schemes will receive around £7,500 and £5,000 respectively.
The competition language is Portuguese and the deadline for registration is 31 October.
