Lancashire seaside regeneration, an Irish Children’s Centre and two new primary schools - the inside track on this week’s most promising competitions

Lancashire’s Wyre Borough Council is looking for artists, landscape designers and architects to contribute to its £1.6 million seaside regeneration package. Applications should be submitted at www.wyreway.org by 15 March.

The Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland is running a competition for a children’s centre at the Aoibhneas Women and Children’s Refuge. Competitors should assume a budget of 600,000 - 800,000 Euros and each shortlisted practice will be paid an honorarium of 10,000 Euros.

The London Borough of Hounslow is looking for a practice to lead a design team for two new primary schools. Firms will need proven experience of designing and project managing primary schools with a construction value in excess of £4 million. Requests to participate are due by 25 March.
