2010 RIBA Awards, Museum of the Second World War and English Heritage Frameworks - the inside track on this week’s competitions

Stirling Prize hopefuls have until 5pm on 19 February to enter their buildings for the 2010 RIBA Awards. Winners of the regional awards (Kielder Observatory by Charles Barclay Architects, pictured above, was last year’s North East winner) are then considered for the Stirling longlist.

In Gdansk, Poland, the Museum of the Second World War is running a competition to design the ‘architectural concept’ for the museum building. First prize is 80,000 euros. Requests to participate must be submitted by 26 March. For more details email konkurs.arch@muzeum1939.pl

English Heritage is looking for architects to join a four-year framework contract to work on the preservation of national monuments. PQQs must be requested by 8 March, to be returned by 12pm on 15 March.
