Architects services are now called for to ‘transform’ the Courtauld Institute of Art facilities in London’s Strand with a construction value set at £17m. A Grade 1 listed site inside Somerset House, the contract begins with repairs and conservation works followed by delivering new and improved temporary exhibition spaces alongside a new prints gallery. A new ‘hub’ at the centre of the building will sit alongside refurbished libraries and a remodeled entrance with improved access. Documents are available up until 31 January 2014.

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is on the hunt for architects to develop a site in Edenham Way as housing in a call for expressions of interest. Teams experienced in taking similar projects through RIBA stages 1 to 7 are called for with experience in delivering schemes of 60 and above homes. Other design team members will be contracted through the successful practice acting as design team lead. An initial planning application will be required with a contract value set at £500,000. Completed PQQs are expected by 15 January 2014.

Architectural design services are sought by Buro Four Project Services for the Buxton Crescent Hotel and Thermal Spa in Buxton. Part of a £35 million redevelopment originally built in 1780; plans include a 79 bedroom hotel alongside the natural water mineral spa, a contract value is set at £600,000. Due to begin 28 February and complete October 2016 the project has a £600,000 contract value; PQQs are due 13 January 2014.
