The city of Copenhagen has launched a design competition for a 35,000m2 multi-purpose indoor arena. The 15,000-seat sports and music venue will feature restaurants and bars as well as space for athletes and performers. The organisers hope the winning design will ‘enhance the international profile of Copenhagen’. [Requests to participate must be received by 15 November]
East Hampshire District Council and Radian Housing Group have announced a contest to design three terraced houses in Whitehill Bordon eco-town in Hampshire. The competition has a £25,000 prize fund with honoraria paid to teams chosen to tender. [Submissions must be received by 7 November]
The city of Sofia in Bulgaria has launched a competition seeking preliminary designs for a new metro station. Proposals should include street-level public realm and access as well as the station itself. £8,750 will be split between the top three schemes. [Registration must be completed by 9 December]
