The unofficial northern capital of Lithuania, Siauliai has launched a competition to overhaul its main Resurrection Square
The competition seeks ideas to overhaul the prominent city centre space and create new community-based, cultural and business uses.
Located opposite the Siauliai’s main municipal building, the plaza features a landmark water fountain – called ‘Solar Disks’ – which was completed by artist Gintautas Lukošaitis in 2006.
The winner will receive around £10,600. A second place prize of £4,200 and third place prize worth around £2,200 are also available.
The competition language is Lithuanian and the deadline for requests to participate is 10am local time on 30 November.
