The 2014 Buckminster Fuller Challenge is now accepting entries for the ‘socially responsible’ award and its £59,000 top prize.
Architects, artists, students and planners worldwide are invited to submit ‘innovative solutions’ addressing ‘humanity’s most pressing problems’.
Entries should be ‘feasible, ecologically responsible and visionary’ with the winning strategy awarded a £59,000 prize.
Teams should have capacity to realise their proposal when submitting, with each scheme to include an ‘integrated strategy’ addressing social, environmental and economic factors.
The grant is intended to help develop and implement one or more schemes.
The submissions will be accepted until 11 April and more details can be found on the allocated challenge page.
