Ayr Hospital extension, Scotland

  • Comment

[A PQQ must be received by 14 December 2011] NHS Ayrshire and Arran is calling on architects to design a new extension to Ayr Hospital in Scotland

The two-storey extension will attach to the north-east facade of the 1991 hospital and will provide additional outpatient accommodation and house a new dental service.

The approximately 1,300m² structure will be built over a sloping site. Fire access to adjacent buildings is to be considered in the ground floor design.

The hospital will remain open during the £2.25 million project and access to wards is considered ‘essential’. The two year contract is due to begin early 2012.
