The London Borough of Hackney is seeking architects for a series of social-housing schemes on infill sites across Hoxton
The teams chosen for the multi-lot contract will draw up detailed plans for new homes and public realm on three separate infill sites currently occupied by garages.
The three lots – worth up to £866,500 in total – cover redevelopment schemes at Buckland Street Lot, Murray Grove (pictured) and Wimbourne Street near Shoreditch Park.
The 0.17ha site on Buckland Street at the corner with Clunbury Street contains 56 garages while the 0.23ha plot on Murray Grove is home to a multi-storey garage block and underground complex.
The smaller 0.1ha site on Wimbourne Street meanwhile features a mix of garages and surface parking.
The three schemes are part of Hackney’s housing supply programme, which will deliver 400 homes on 11 underused sites within council estates across the borough.
Interested parties may bid for one, two or all three lots, but no single firm will be awarded more than two of the sites.
The deadline for applications is 5pm, 31 January.
