Architects sought for Derby College's Ilkeston campus

[Requests to participate must be received 5 April] Derby College is hunting architects to continue plans for a new College campus to be built in Ilkeston.

Following the decision to sell the college’s existing Field Road site and relocate the campus; architects services are now called for to complete the new campus design.

Works include progressing current designs already procured from a planning stage to completion.

The Colleges new campus is expected to be located around a former magistrates court on New Lawn Road inside Ilkeston,with the former Field Road site sold to finance the new build.

Run under an ‘accelerated procedure’, detailed designs are required for an on-site start in September 2012 with the campus hoped to be complete by September 2013.
