  • Comment

Liverpool John Moores University and the University of Liverpool are seeking an architect for a 2,500m² business incubator centre

The Copperas Hill facility will feature laboratories and office space for new companies specialising in electronic sensor-systems.

The project is part of the Sensor City Liverpool programme – a joint venture between the two universities – which aims to develop 300 new commercially-viable high-tech companies in the sector.

According to the brief: ‘The new building should provide flexible laboratory space to allow different sized companies to work alongside each other with dedicated write up and office space.

‘The building should encourage collaboration and provide opportunities for the client to demonstrate the new technologies being developed.’

The scheme is partially funded by the Department for Business Innovation & Skills and is also expected to be supported by the European Regional Development Fund.

The deadline for requests for PQQ documentation is 12pm on 12 December. PQQs must be returned by 17 December
