Architect sought for Kessington travel hub

  • Comment

East Dunbartonshire Council is seeking an architect for a ‘travel hub’ in Kessington, Bearsden

The project will create a new public space outside the former Kessington Town Hall featuring bus and bicycle facilities including a tyre pump and secure parking.

The winning team will first prepare a concept design before proceeding to draw up more detailed designs for the public realm scheme.

The project is part of the council’s ‘Bears Way’ initiative which aims to boost active lifestyles along the A81 thoroughfare by introducing two-way segregated cycle lanes and new bus infrastructure.

The deadline for expressions of interest is 16 September.
