  • Comment

The Children’s University Hospital in Dublin is seeking an architect for a new outpatients building

The winning team will replace an existing building with a new 400m² steel-framed structure housing the hospital’s Department of Neurology, Nephrology, Urology and Spina Bifida.

The new outpatient facility will be constructed on an operational site which is open to the public 24 hours a day.

It will be used up until around 2022 when the hospital is expected to relocate to BDP’s £500 million New Children’s Hospital nearby.

The new high-profile facility will combine Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin, the Children’s University Hospital Temple Street and the National Children’s Hospital at Tallaght Hospital.

A structural engineer, building services engineer and quantity surveyor are sought in separate lots.

The deadline for requests to participate is 15 January.
