Architect sought for Derry social housing scheme

  • Comment

Clanmil Housing Association is searching for an architect for a 57-unit social housing scheme in Derry-Londonderry

The project will replace a disused petrol station and shop on the A40 Foyle Road in the Glenanne suburban district around one mile from the city centre.

The contract is worth around £225,000 and the units will be expected to achieve Code for Sustainable Homes level 3 and meet Lifetime Homes and Secured by Design standards.

Decontamination is expected to be already completed on the site but the winning team may need to deliver additional contamination protection measures and piled foundations.

Clanmil Housing is planning to deliver around 1,600 new social housing units across Northern Ireland.

The organisation – which owns around 3,600 homes – is investing £25 million in new dwellings this year and has 17 active projects in its development pipeline.

The deadline for requests to participate is 12noon on 6 July.
