Architect sought for £63.5m Knockroon school campus

East Ayrshire Council is on the hunt for an architect-led multidisciplinary design team for a new £63.5 million education centre in Broomfield, Cumnock

Planned to complete in 2019, the proposed Knockroon Learning and Enterprise Campus will create a new home for Barshare and Greenmill primaries, Cumnock and Auchinleck academies and Hillside School.

Planned to host up to 2,000 pupils, the new facility will located close to the Prince’s Foundation’s Knockroon housing development.

Around five teams will be shortlisted and bids will be evaluated 70 per cent on quality and 30 per cent on cost.

The deadline for requests to participate is 12noon on 30 November.
