The University of Edinburgh is on the lookout for an architect for a £4 million overhaul of the Old Kirk on Holyrood Road
Planned to complete in 2017, the project will create a new postgraduate study centre inside the Category B-listed 1882 building.
Originally built for the congregation of St Giles’ Cathedral, the building hosted the university’s music department after 1945 and later became disused.
Six companies will be invited to tender following a PQQ and bids will be evaluated 60 per cent on quality and 40 per cent on cost.
The deadline for requests to participate is 12noon on 29 June.
