  • Comment

Norway’s hospital building agency Sykehusbygg is on the hunt for an architect for a new 80,000m² hospital in Møre og Romsdal

Planned to complete in 2019, the new £480 million facility will replace two existing hospitals in Kristiansund and Molde.

Facilities at an existing psychiatric hospital in Opdøl/Hjelset will be relocated to the new development and a new medical centre in Kristiansund will also be required.

The 80,000m² building is expected to feature a 6,000m² psychiatry area and a 5,000 m² out-patients’ clinic.

The winning team will provide architecture, landscape architecture and interior design services. Design work for interim accommodation during construction of the new hospital will also be required.

The project language is Norwegian and the deadline for applications is 12noon on 12 May
