Iceland is seeking an architect for a £170 million overhaul of its National University Hospital in Reykjavik
Planned to complete in 2019, the project will upgrade the hospital’s 58,500 m² main building which hosts clinical areas and inpatient wards.
Founded fifteen years ago, the Landspítali hospital hosts 612 beds and is the main teaching hospital for all of the country’s doctors and nurses.
The main building features six storeys above ground and two storeys below ground.
The project language is Icelandic and teams must include designers registered in Iceland.
The deadline for requests to participate is 10.45AM local time on 25 June.
