[Registration must be completed by 1 March 2012] Hong Kong-based practice 10 Design has launched a sustainability ideas competition focussing on Shanghai in China

The contest seeks proposals for sustainable interventions along the Suzhou Creek in Shanghai. Schemes must occupy at least 150,000m² and feature residential, office and commercial units.

Sustainable power generation, innovative material use and other sustainable techniques are also encouraged.

A $3,000 prize fund has been announced and the shortlisted entries will feature in an exhibition in May 2012.

The winner will be invited to work with 10 Design’s Hong Kong or Shanghai office to develop their proposal.
