Société du Grand Paris is on the lookout for an architect for a new train station at Nanterre La Folie in northern Paris
The appointed team will lead on all aspects of station design and take overall responsibility for ‘quality, creativity, and architectural innovation’.
The new station - expected to serve 70,000 passengers per day - is part of a proposed route known as the Grand Paris Express.
Planned to complete in 2030, the new train line will feature 205 kilometres of track and 72 new stations.
Currently dedicated to freight traffic, Nanterre La Folie will be a temporary terminus from 2025 to 2027 before the overall Grand Paris Express completes.
Integration of the Nanterre La Folie station design with the surrounding area and above ground projects will be required.
The winning team will also be expected to collaborate with civil engineers and urban planners on site.
The deadline for expressions of interest is 17 December.
