An open international design competition has been launched for a mountain cabin in the Himlayas, Nepal. The contest backed by Samarth-NMDP seeks ideas for a ‘clever and inventive’ structure which could be built at a variety of sites across the world’s tallest mountain range [Deadline for registration is 1 April]

The Centre for Process Innovation is on the lookout for an architect to design a new Centre for Innovative Formulations at NETPark in Sedgefield. The £28 million project will create a new base for developing and prototyping formulated products such as those used in paints, detergents, lubricants and adhesives [Deadline for requests to participate 19 February]

Thenue Housing Association is seeking an architect for 62 new homes across two sites in Glasgow. Planned to start on site in 2016, the £8 million project will create new housing on two derelict sites at Holmbyre in Castlemilk and Rumford Street in Bridgeton [Deadline for requests to participate 26 January]
