weird that the new buildigns have such a strong vertical emphasis when the old internal structure was so contrastingly horizontal

When the newness fades in 5 years, Birmingham and the residents of this tower will be saddled with a very expensive, hot liability and the residents will wonder why no private amenity spaces were included.

Very pretty, but what about the layouts?!
It looks like less of a stand alone tower now and more like a part of a street with two buildings on a shared building line. The reflection of the tower's angles in the convex facade of the extension is quite interesting. Will set an interesting precedent.
