Work nears completion on Piers Taylor’s £85k ‘folded’ studio

  • Comment

Work is nearing completion on a new timber studio in Essex by Piers Taylor’s practice Invisible Studio

The £85,000 self-build studio contains a home office and a potting room beneath a ‘folded’ roof.

The 85m2 scheme has been designed to take advantage of natural daylight – with a continuous clerestory window that wraps around the studio at high level.

The studio has been constructed in low cost materials including profiled bitumen sheet for the roof, polycarbonate for the clerestory and spruce ply linings.
