Invisible from the street, the two-storey-plus-mezzanine Hidden House has its lower floor at basement level
Created from two former workshop buildings and a retail space, the project involved reworking existing structures and creating a new subterranean living space in the basement.
The main living spaces are arranged as a sequence of linked open-plan spaces that include a mezzanine study within the roof pitch.
A new sunken garden and atria provide daylight to the lower level, which contains three double bedrooms, including a large master suite with an en-suite bathroom resting within arched pavement vaults.
