FORMstudio transforms office into £770k home

  • Comment

Bermondsey-based FORMStudio has completed this transformation of an ‘impractical’ London office into a home, described as a ‘staircase with rooms’

The £770,000 scheme, just off London’s Oxford Street, has converted an old office building into a 153m2 two-bedroom house.

With just one rooms on each of the triangular building’s five floors, the scheme features a ‘signature’ wooden staircase.

According to the practice, the staircase’s white acrylic balustrade ‘falls through the house like a twisted ribbon’ framing the 14 metre view from the house’s glass roof down to the basement.
