Flanagan Lawrence completes housing development in Wembley Park

  • Comment

The scheme for developer Quintain is composed of 362 apartments across four blocks, which range from nine to 19 storeys

Comprising 120 build to rent homes, 211 for sale apartments and 31 apartments for affordable rent and discount market sale, the Alto development has been designed as part of Quintain’s masterplan for the 85 acre site in Wembley, which will also provide 42 acres of public realm. The masterplan is set to see Wembley Park become the UK’s largest build to rent development, with over 5,000 homes.

The blocks overlook a central courtyard, and each is clad with stone, glass and aluminium, designed to have a ‘distinctive, considered order’. A 300m² community centre, ‘The Yellow’, has also been provided, along with a gym and eight affordable artist studios.

Interior design was completed by FLINT, Flanagan Lawrence’s in-house interiors team, and all apartments have been designed to have open plan living, kitchen and dining areas with island kitchens, and floor to ceiling glazing.

Architect’s view

Alto is our first completed building for Quintain within the emerging north-west quarter of Wembley Park. Set among a framework of landscaped courtyards and garden squares, Alto is characterised by its distinctive profile of striking towers which increase in height towards the north, creating roof terraces overlooking the civic centre and stadium.
