Central London-based Barr Gazetas has completed this transformation of an office in Regent Street
The ‘cut-and-carve’ 4,270m2 retrofit project has ’rationalised and extended’ two Grade II-listed buildings in the famous London street to provide shops, offices and a restaurant.
The two existing office buildings, which had different floor plates, celing heights and facades, were combined to form one large open plan office space.
A new glass-fronted lobby and entrance was also added to the scheme.
The 11-storey scheme achieved BREEAM Outstanding with a score of 94 per cent making it the highest scoring office building in the UK.
The mixed-use scheme is part of the Crown Estate’s £1 billion transformation of Regent Street and the surrounding area.
