Allies and Morrison’s renovation of The Westworks opens at White City Place

The last of a set of three offices to be refurbished at White City Place opened in September

The Westworks was originally designed by Scott Brownrigg Turner (now Scott Brownrigg) in 1990 as the administrative headquarters for the BBC. Sitting adjacent to two other offices at White City Place – Mediaworks and Garden House – originally designed by Allies and Morrison in 2004 and vacated after the BBC’s move to Salford, the age of The Westworks building made much more extensive rennovations necessary.

The ground floor has been remodelled with full-height glass windows, and the original dark glazing has been replaced with clear, solar controlled glass. Nine retail units are being placed at the perimeter of the ground floor, and the office floors have been completely reconfigured to allow for two tenants per floor.
