We take a look around Bloomberg’s billion-pound building in London, talking to both client and architect about the development of its design
Described by Make’s founder Ken Shuttleworth as ‘a standout office of this generation’, Bloomberg’s new European headquarters by Foster + Partners completed last month.
In this exclusive AJ video, Michael Jones of Foster + Partners and Heather Walker of Bloomberg discuss some of the design challenges that led to the development of the building’s key features. These include the trefoil ramp connecting floors, the ’breathing’ stone and bronze façades and the petal-leaf patterning of the integrated ceiling.
