Bristol City Council is seeking a lead designer for 1,000 new council houses
The new dwellings will be built on former brownfield sites in the south west of England city over the next 15 years.
The winning outfit will provide full design team services for the new homes and any associated infrastructure on the sites.
Two separate lots will cover projects valued above and below £750,000 respectively.
Bristol City Council has around 14,000 applicants for social housing but only 3,000 of its 40,000 council homes become available every year.
The programme will initially focus on large family homes but one and two bed apartments are also planned for existing tenants seeking to downsize.
The council will host a suppliers’ day meeting between 10am and 12pm on 1 May at The City and Port of Bristol Social and Supports Club, Nibley Road, Bristol, BS11 9XW.
Registration will open at 9.30am and places are limited to two attendees per company.
