    Alexander Fraser's comment 11 June, 2015 10:36 am

No wonder the country is in a mess! Every bod who opens his mouth or writes a thread is an "expert". From where I view this project, there are enough experts involved already. Shades of the Gatwick v. Heathrow jousting and other posturing! I suppose it's democracy, but it is also highly inefficient, delaying and financially draining. Too many cooks spoil the broth.

What a marvellous confirmation of the quality and success of British Architecture serving the world. The UK needs more of this kind of news in these depressing times. Well done to the team.

  • Comment on: Calls for Scottish Parliament inquiry into Dundee V&A costs fiasco

    Alexander Fraser's comment 9 February, 2015 10:29 am

Here we go again! More time wasting by politicians in an election year. Dundee City Council have already announced an independent enquiry, so why should more public money be expended on yet another with hunt? At the end of the day, the result is likely to be, " We'll learn lessons from this (the outcome). In fact, lessons rarely are learned, particularly by politicians. It would appear that the public domain in Scotland is beset by cost over-runs on large projects; e.g The Scottish Parliament Building, Edinburgh tram system etc. It truly brings our commitment to fiscal control into focus/criticism. All the more reason why this should not be a political football.
