Comment on: Independent probe launched into RIAS decisions
A great cause but a badly handled brief.
Congratulations Robin. Now is the time for those still on Council who have obstructed reform to depart.
Super ‘value engineering’ here that takes a £9m project to £22m...! Why should noble institutions like this always be at the front of the queue -ahead of many good causes sans professional fund raising teams- when they continually seem unable to control their appetite for strategic direction involving major building works.
Whilst not necessarily advocating for the Hoskins hotel scheme for the client granted the lease by the Council, close scrutiny of the plans show less physical alteration to the Grade A Listed Hamilton building (Cf townscape) than the rival scheme with Consent.
