Work is nearing completion on Feilden Clegg Bradley Studio’s new £45 million high-rise for Leeds Metropolitan University
The student-flat and academic complex on the site of the BBC’s former West Yorkshire home at Broadcasting Place in Leeds is almost entirely clad in Corten steel.
The scheme, which is due to finish later this summer and sits just north of the city centre, features a 23-storey accommodation tower housing around 400 students.
A new church building for the local Blenheim Baptist Church and 10,000 sq m of office acommodation are also included in the development which will also be home to the University’s school of architecture.
