£20 a night with Alain de Botton

  • Comment

The summer season is fast approaching and Astragal has been relaxing in vest and flip-flops following the recent launch of Living Architecture – a range of holiday homes in which one can unwind from as little as £20 per person, per night

With philosopher and self-help guru Alain de Botton as its creative director, Living Architecture has enlisted a cast of luminaries including Peter Zumthor, Michael and Patty Hopkins and NORD to design retreats across the UK.

But Astragal was stricken by an attack of dizziness upon viewing MVRDV’s gravity-defying Balancing Barn in Suffolk (pictured), a building that ‘dramatically cantilevers over the landscape’. See for yourself at www.living-architecture.co.uk
